Clinical waste and Expired Medication Management

For the Sake of Environment Protection in Remote location in KRG, and ensuring the environment remains free from harm and for the Health and safety of all our employees and company Protection legally, Petro Med will manage clinical waste properly.

All the Waste that will be produced inside the Clinic, will be collected, segregated, separated from other kind of waste. The Clinical waste will be categorized to hazardous and non -hazardous waste and they will be collected in different color coded bags.

All the Sharps, Needles, Cannulas and IV Materials that has been used which regarded as Hazardous clinical waste will be disposed in a disposable sharp bin. After that all the Sharp Bins will be Collected, Separated, and Segregated from Other kind of waste and All sharps bin will be locked and stored in different Container that away from public.

Other kind of waste such as Gloves, Gauze, Mask, Coverall and other laboratory materials that had a contact with patients will be put directly to yellow bags which regarded as hazardous waste too.

All other kinds of waste that produced inside the clinic such as Cup of tea, tissue and etc. will be collected in Black bag which regarded as non-hazardous health.

All the Yellow bags and Sharp Bins will be sealed, stored securely in different places and container that is away from public and will be ready for disposal. After collecting them, all the disposable waste material will be transferred to incineration place.

All our Expired Medication will be collected separately and will be highlighted that are expired. All of them will be transferred back to hospital for combustion and incineration.

All our Expired Controlled Medication will be collected, separated from non -Controlled Medication.

All of them will be put on different bags and highlighted that are controlled Medication. All of them will be transferred back and combusted and incinerated at Hospital in front of witness in order to be sure that is not used for illegal purposes.

All our clinic waste will be handed, transported and disposed, Burned and Combusted at incineration in one of our hospitals.
